Our Second Annual Conference was a huge success; thanks to everyone who participated!

On the evening of Thursday, February 21, we launched the conference with an inspiring session with Sara Felstiner from the Hilltop Educator Institute. Sarah shared stories of engaging families in emergent curriculum.

On Friday, February 22, the main part of the conference began with Lella Gandini’s presentation of “Reggio Emilia Approach and Inquiry-Based Practice.” Lella led us through a process of in-depth projects, demonstrating the role of observation and documentation in facilitating them. We were also fortunate to have the Honourable Katrina Chen open our conference.

On Saturday, February 23, Lella led attendees through a hands-on exploration of children’s Hundred Languages through play and interactions with clay, sharing her incredible knowledge of the Reggio-Emilia approach with us. Rebecca Heyl, a local atelierista and collaborator of Frog Hollow’s, co-presented with Lella and also enriched our day.
